TOUCHED BY A RAINBOW
I had beauty
And knew not what to do
I tried to capture its essence
The essence of you
But it would not be tamed
It would not be my slave
It danced from my clumsy grasp
As any wild spirit would do
So dance on, my beauty
The tango is playing just for you
Bite the flower
Taste the sweet bud of new
You will soar, and you will fall
Few things touch the heart so
as a butterfly, in desperate flight
to its destiny, touched by a rainbow © Etienne A.
